While playing the game press 'J'. At any point, press '1-8' and you will be transported to the respective level. Use 'J' and 'K' at the same time to get infinite lives. You can then press the '1-3' on the numeric keypad to skip to the three different stages on that level.

Another source says:

In-game hold down 'G' and 'J' while pressing one of the keys from '1-6' to be taken to the respective level, and 'K' for infinite lives.
