PERSONAL NIGHTMARE (?) (?)

Solution:
You have only four days to save the village of Tynham Cross from the devil,
and also destroy some of the evil son bitches who are trying to possess the
small village. The solution below will be written in seperate units (e.g.
Day 1), so here goes...
DAY ONE:
You start your adventure in the Dog and Duck Bar. It is important that you
know your way around the village as later on it is vital for your survival.
Also the best way to pick up objects is to click on the ROOM icon and drag
the mouse pointer over the object, into your INV (Inventory). Sometimes you
will find that there are objects hidden behind or inside other objects.
To see if there is anything underneath the object click on the object ICON
in the ROOM command. You can carry objects in your suit/raincoat, but when
you want to use them you will have to drag them back into your INV.
Ok. Enough of that crap, now on with the solution.
Firstly exit the bar (Through the east door) and go upstairs, east and go
North into your landlords bedroom. Take the mirror which is on the chest.
Exit the room and enter your own room which is the one on the right of the
landlords bedroom. (NE) Drop the following items: YOUR SUITCASE, YOUR TIE.
Now go back to the bar and wait. (Select the command WAIT only until Susan
Blandford and Mr Roberts are at the bar. Jimmy Bladford has to have left the
bar.) You usually have to click the WAIT command about three times!
You should hear the sound of a car crashing into something. Wait until Mr.
Roberts has left the room and then examine the coat hanging on the wall.
Take the key which is in the coat and immediately leave the Dog and Duck,
out through the North door.
When you are outside the guesthouse go EAST, and you should see Jimmy on the
road, dead. EXAMINE him and select the ROOM icon. Take the film, key and
numberplate.
Cross the road (NORTH) and then go EAST twice. You should now be on the road
in front of the churchyard. Enter the Churchyard (NORTH), then select WEST
to enter the cemetary. Go WEST again and then go DOWN. Open the small door
in front of you and go in (EAST).
You are now in the underground corridor which runs underneath the village.
Go EAST 4 times until the coffin is visible. The coffin will start to open.
As soon as you see it open click on WEST. The vampire will now be drifting
towards you. Go WEST, WEST, WEST. You should still be in the corridor but
the vampire should be just floating in front of you. To kill the vampire you
have to type: REFLECT LIGHT WITH MIRROR.
The vampire should be a useless pile of bone, blood and crap, in other
words, dead. If not you are probably dead so tough shit, better luck next
time!!
Go EAST, EAST, EAST, EAST. You should be in front of the coffin. Open the
door behind the coffin and go EAST.
INSIDE HONEYSUCKLE COTTAGE:
- You are now in HoneySuckle Cottage. The trap door will shut behind you and
you get killed. Just kidding! Go UP. Take your shoes of before you enter the
bedroom.
- Go through the North door. You will see Alice GreenWood (A witch) asleep in
her bed. Look under the bed (You find a pair of stepladders).
- EXAMINE Alice
- TAKE Key
- Go SOUTH
- CLIMB Ladder
- OPEN the loft door
- Go UP
- Click on the ROOM icon and take the Jug.
- Type: FILL JUG WITH WATER
- Type: POUR WATER ON ALICE
- Alice GreenWood is now dead unless she zapped you first.
- UNLOCK Chains
- You have now rescued Judy (You can screw her later).
- Go DOWN, DOWN (Take your shoes and wear them.)
- SOUTH
- You are in the Garden of HoneySuckle cottage.
- TAKE Gloves
- Go SOUTH
YOU ARE NOW ON THE ROAD OUTSIDE HONEYSUCKLE COTTAGE:
- Go SOUTH (To cross the road)
- Go EAST
- The Cop should be standing outside the Post Office. Show him the numberplate
- Go EAST, EAST, SOUTH (In the Garden of Ivy Cottage)
- Open the SOUTH door to Ivy Cottage and enter it (SOUTH)
IN IVY COTTAGE:
- Open SOUTH door (Kitchen door)
- Go SOUTH
- OPEN cupboard, look in cupboard, TAKE screwdriver
- WEST (In the Dark Room)
- LOOK under the table, TAKE the magazine
- EAST (Back in kitchen)
- SOUTH (Into the garden)
- WEST (Into shed)
- Click on the ROOM icon.
- TAKE the: Secateurs, SledgeHammer, Oily Rag
- OPEN the Large Box, TAKE the New Maul.
- LOOK behind the Paintpots, TAKE the OilStone
- EAST (Exit Shed)
- NORTH (Into Kitchen)
- NORTH (Into Hall)
- NORTH (Outside)
- LOCK door
- EXAMINE the magazine (A voucher should fall out)
- DROP the magazine
- DROP the key to Ivy Cottage
- REMOVE the handle from the New Maul
- DROP Maul
- Go NORTH
- Go NORTH (To cross the road)
- Go WEST 13 times. You should arrive outside the Manor Gates.
- OPEN Gates, go NORTH
BEYOND THE MANOR GATES:
Wait until 11 p.m. The gardener goes home at this time.
- EXAMINE Fence
- TAKE Stake
- Go NORTH
- Type: KILL DOG WITH STAKE and wait until you see the Dog right next to you.
Then PRESS Return!
- You should now have killed the Hell Hound unless he tore your head off!
- Go NORTH
- Go WEST
- SMASH the mausoleum with the sledgehammer.
- WEST (Into the mausoleum)
- TAKE Axe
- PUT Handle on Axe
- EAST, EAST
- SOUTH, SOUTH
- SOUTH (Outside the Gates)
- SOUTH (To cross the road)
- EAST (Times 10 (You should be in front of the registrar`s office)
- UNLOCK the South Door
- Go SOUTH.
INSIDE THE REGISTAR`S OFFICE:
- EXAMINE Safe
- DIAL 1815
- LOOK IN safe
- CLICK on the Papers (A certificate should fall onto the floor)
- Select the ROOM icon
- PICK UP the certificate
- CLOSE the Safe
- NORTH (To exit the office)
- LOCK Door
- DROP the Yale Key
- WEST times 6 (Outside the Dog and Duck)
- SOUTH (Main Bar)
- SW
- As soon as you enter the kitchen type: PUT PLUG IN WORKTOP (Enter)
- As soon as you have pressed Return go NE.
- Go SW (Back into the kitchen)
- LOOK IN the washing machine
- CLICK on the trousers

- EXAMINE the shelf
- TAKE matches
- EXAMINE knife holder

From this point you can go anywhere, but try to get to the Dog and Duck
before 10.30 p.m.
IMPORTANT POINT: You cannot go past the gardener before 11 p.m. Do not
enter people`s homes unless they are out.
IN THE DOG AND DUCK:
Wait until the bar closes and Mr. and Mrs. Jones have gone to bed. This will
be about 11 p.m.
- TAKE Bugle
- EAST, UP, EAST
- Enter your ROOM
- CLOSE the door
It is important to save the game at this stage!
When the troops are coming towards you type: BLOW BUGLE (Enter) The son
bitches retreat!
DAY THREE:
You wake up about 9 a.m. of Day Three.
- OPEN Door
- Click on the ROOM icon.
- TAKE Pop Gun
- THROW Wool at cat, then enter your Room and CLOSE the door
- Make sure the cat is not in your room.
- FIRE Gun, TAKE Cork
- EXIT Room
- SW, WEST, DOWN, WEST
- PUT Bugle Back
This day can be spent getting used to the layout of the village. Make sure
that you are at the Dog and Duck about 10.30 p.m. Wait until the bar closes
at 11 p.m.
At this point save the game!!
- GO outside (NORTH door) so that you are standing outside the GuestHouse.
- Now WAIT
- You should see a car getting ready to run you down
- As it is still go EAST once
- Then when it is coming towards you go NORTH once
- Keep on repeating these moves until the car crashes into the large tree.

- Go back to the Dog and Duck.
- ENTER your room
- SLEEP
DAY FOUR - THE LAST DAY:
This is the Day the devil takes over the village unless you stop him!
- SW, WEST, DOWN, WEST
- You should be in the Main Bar
- WAIT for Mr. Jones to give you the envelope
- WHEN you have received it:
- NORTH
- Go to the COP (Outside the Post Office)
- OPEN Letter
- TAKE Photographs
- DROP Letter
- SHOW the COP: The Bill, The Photographs
- GO to Rose Cottage
- WAIT outside for about 30 minutes and then OPEN the door
- SOUTH (To enter Rose Cottage)
- SOUTH (Enter the bedroom)
- OPEN Cupboard
- LOOK IN CupBoard
- TAKE Robe
- NORTH
- OPEN EAST Door
- EAST
- LOOK UNDER the Pot Plant
- TAKE Crumpled Note
- TAKE the clock on the wall so you get a better indication of the time.
REMEMBER: Satan takes over the village a few minutes after 12 midnight!
- NORTH (Back on the Road)
- Go back to the COP (Outside the Post Office)
- SHOW the note to the COP
- Go back to the Dog and Duck and wait there until 10 p.m.
- Go directly to the Manor House
- OPEN Gates
- NORTH
- WAIT until 11 p.m. (For the Gardener to leave)
- NORTH, NORTH, WEST
- WEST (Inside the mausoleun)
- PUSH Coffin
- DOWN, EAST, EAST
- WEAR Robe
- FOR the final part you will only need the: WATER, ROBE, AXE.
- Drop other items if you want!
- WAIT until 12 Midnight and a bunch of Acolytes (satan worshippers) come into
the underground complex.
- When they have dissappeared through the hole in the wall go EAST.
- When the Acolytes start to come into the room with the girl at the stake
- TYPE: KILL FATHER WITH AXE but do not press Return until the message telling
you that you recognize the Chief Acolyte as your Father comes in view
on the display.
Now you see the devil in front of you so type:
- REMOVE CORK FROM BOTTLE
- POUR WATER ON DEVIL
You rescue the Girl and finish being a hero... Congratulations.
