DRAGON'S LAIR 2 - SINGLE'S CASTLE (?) (?)

How to play easy mode and still access all the screens:
Select the hardest possible setting before starting the game, this includes not only hard mode but also disabling that obnoxious 'FLIP SCREEN' feature and choosing only three lives. Then click on the 'GAME' icon and do as if you were to start the game. When the prompt bar says 'CLICK TO PLAY' instead choose the 'EXIT' icon and this will bring you back to the startup menu. Now you can select the easy mode and more lives and you will still be able to see all the screens assuming you're deft of hand enough to get to them in easy mode.

Complete solution:

SCENE ONE: THE TILT ROOM
When the room begins to shake, pull DOWN. When our hero lands, push UP when the tiles fall again and then UP again. When Dirk leaps clear, push LEFT or RIGHT towards the door.

SCENE TWO: THE HORSE
Push LEFT or RIGHT away from the Wall of Flame as soon as it appears. There are two more of these scenes to come - the next on the opposite side of the screen to the first, and the last at the same side as the first. When the horse tries to throw you, move in the direction Dirk is facing to jump clear of the horse.

SCENE THREE: THE CRUMBLING WALKWAY
Push UP as soon as Dirk puts both feet on the walkway. After he has landed push UP again. Repeat this for all scenes.

SCENE FOUR: THE SMITHEE
When the sword begins to glow, press FIRE. Then when the sword flies towards Dirk press FIRE again to knock it away. To avoid the anvil attack, move Dirk to the side of the screen that he is nearest to.

SCENE FIVE: THE BURNING ROPES
Push LEFT or RIGHT towards the ropes when Dirk says 'Uh, oh!'. When he is on the ropes, swinging push UP and then push LEFT or RIGHT towards the next rope every time he reaches for the next rope.

SCENE SIX: THE LIZARD KING
Move towards Dirk`s sword as soon as it is drawn away, and then move in the same direction again when the Lizard King advances towards our hero. When the screen changes, push UP and then UP once more when the sword moves towards the T-Junction. When the scene changes again, press FIRE to grab the sword and then FIRE when the Lizard King appears. Then move twice in the direction of the Lizard King. When Dirk`s sword is trapped, pull DOWN and when he rolls away press FIRE.

SCENE SEVEN: THE DOOR
When the door knocker starts to glow, push away from it. When Dirk lands on the ground press FIRE and hit FIRE again once his sword is out.

SCENE EIGHT: THE GOONS
As soon as Dirk appears from the trap door, push LEFT or RIGHT towards the stairs. When a Goon appears, press FIRE and go RIGHT or LEFT towards the staircase when the creature is dead. When Dirk starts to climb the staircase push UP and go LEFT or RIGHT towards the exit when he reaches the top.

SCENE NINE: THE MUD CREATURES
When Dirk walks forward, pull DOWN. When the scene changes, push UP and then push AWAY from the river. Push UP when the scene changes again and then push in the direction of the bridge to cross it. When you get to the end, pull DOWN. Finally PUSH in the direction of the Cave entrance.

SCENE TEN: THE LABYRINTH
Keep on running around the maze until Dirk reaches the large chamber. When he stops, push LEFT or RIGHT away from the hand and then push UP. When Dirk lands. move LEFT or RIGHT and then move LEFT or RIGHT towards the exit.

SCENE ELEVEN: SHAPESHIFTERS CRYPT
As soon as the ShapeShifter appears, move LEFT or RIGHT away from the staff. When the lightening strikes, push LEFT or RIGHT towards it. When the screen flips over, move LEFT or RIGHT again and then UP. When Dirk lands on the stairs, move LEFT or RIGHT towards the hole and then go UP. When Dirk has reached the top of the stairs pull DOWN and then UP towards the ShapeShifter As Dirk is running towards the ShapeShifter press FIRE and then press FIRE once more when he swings his sword.

You have rescued Daphne again.
